1867年、オーストリア皇帝・ハンガリー王フランツ・ヨーゼフ1世へ、ハンガリー王としての戴冠式の贈り物として、政府からゲデレーが贈られました。ハプスブルク家の人々、特に皇后エリーザベトが訪問したことで、ブダペストに住む貴族たちの間でゲデレーを夏のリゾート地とするブームが起きました。

In 1867, Hungarian goverment gave Godollo to Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary, Franz Joseph I as the present of the coronation as the king of Hungary. Godollo was prevalent as a summer resort among nobles living in Budapest, because people of the House of Habsburg, especially Empress Elisabeth visited. |

皇妃エリーザベトはこの宮殿とハンガリーを愛し、一人で何度も何度も訪れたそうです。彼女はハンガリー語を流暢に話したため、ハンガリー人からも特に愛されました。ちなみに彼女の夫の皇帝フランツ・ヨーゼフ１世は彼女についていくため、彼女の好きなハンガリー語や馬術を練習したのですがものにならなかったそうです。可哀想なことです。

Empress Elisabeth loved this palace and Hungary, and visited alone many times. Hungarians loved her especially because she spoke Hungarian very well. By the way, for love to her, her husband, Emperor Franz Joseph I practiced Hungarian and riding she loved. However he didn't improve no matter. Poor fellow. |

 ブダペストに帰ってお夕飯。ハンガリー料理のお店です。一つ星のレストランと違ってとても庶民的。静かな裏通りにあるのにこの店だけはにぎわっていました。名前は「Hungarikum Bisztro」
We had a dinner in Budapest. It's a Hungarian food restaurant. It is a very popular atmosphere unlike the one-star restaurant. Though it is at the minor back roads, the restaurant was crowded. The name is "Hungarikum Bisztro". |

 またまた「TOKAJI」ワイン。一つ星には及ばないけど、なかなかの味。

 「国会議事堂」の横からメトロに乗ってホテルへ帰ります。
We take a metro from the side of "Hungarian Parliament Building" and go back to the hotel. |
